One of the best spot to enjoy your coffee and a sandwich. They have a really cute outdoor space right on the river with a view of the church and a bridge. Food was average, however staff is really helpful and service is quick.
Popped in after 6 mile wet cold walking. Had pot of tea , wife had apple pie I had carrot cake. The carrot cake was delicious the apple pie very good. Service quick and friendly.
HIGH FORCE WATERFALLS...TEESDALE. ( not Grasmere) Absolutely great day out for all ages. Walked to top of falls both sides, you can feel the water spray on your face & a walk down bottom falls too.
Absolutely loved the place, is located so nicely beside a river which makes it more enjoyable having a quick bite and drink in the garden. The staff is very nice and welcoming, the food and drinks are very good as well and not expensive either. If your travels take you to Grasmere have a stop and you will not regret it for sure! Enjoy
Called in here for a bit of lunch. It was lovely & bright. Spotlessly clean. The staff were lovely.
The hot apple cinnamon is delightful with a slice of lemon cake. The views of the gardens and water is something out of a Woolworth poem. Oh wait, he happens to be buried right around the corner.
Simple food lovingly prepared. Ample portions. Quick service. What's not to like?
Had lunch here during a tour of Northern England. Tour guide recommended trying sausage items & described the uniqueness of Cambria sausage...so I got the sausage roll & a side Salad. The sausage roll was quite delicious & so was the salad. The staff were very friendly & upbeat. It's close to Sarah Nelson's Gingerbread Shop & William Wordsworth's Daffodil Garden
